Keno

We went to Bear Lake for labor day this year and had a wonderful time... only this time when we came home we came home with out Keno... he has been having seizures and when he has them they have been lasting for 3o to 45 min... due to the seizures he has been showing a side of himself that wasn't right. We made the decision to put him down... this was one of the hardest decisions I've made in a long time. We love him and miss him so much! He was truly an awesome dog. He was the protective type... no one could mess with me or the kids... he was always right there at my feet and loved any and all kinds of attention. Keno we will miss you!
To Eternity and Beyond!

On June 18th Justin and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary at the Logan Temple with so many of our family member and close friends. It was one of the most amazing days of my life... To know that we are a family for Eternity means so much to me. I am so blessed to have Justin in my life and to share my eternity with. We have had a bumpy road getting there but it was totally worth the journey. After a few trials in our lives, we decided it was time to make the journey to the Temple... Why Logan? Well my parents and Justin's parents were both married there, and 3 of my brothers and their wives were married or sealed there... also my mom and dad currently work at the Logan Temple 2 days a week and personally know one of the sealers... we were so privileged to have Bro Strigham seal us as he is a close friend of the family and has been for quite some time. It was an amazing feeling... seeing Peyton walk into the room dressed in her beautiful white dress... (makes me cry just thinking about it) made it even more memorable. As we looked around the room and saw all the support we had from those who held us up or picked us up along the way it was truly incredible. As we exited the Temple we were met by Chance and Kelcee who were unable to attend due to other family issues... but to share this moment with them was truly remarkable. We love each of our children so much and would do anything in this world for them and their safety. Thank you all for everything you do for us...and have done for us. You never know who you will touch with your testimony so don't be afraid to bare it....

Chance and I shared this special moment after we came out of the Temple... he is such a great kid!
My blessings from Heaven
It was nice to share with such close friends..... MiKell and Murranda you are amazing women!
All the support we had that day... there were a few missing out of this pic... but non the less you are all such great examples to me and my family! We love you so much!

Mary Beth
At the first of May I had the opportunity to go to South Carolina and witness one of my bestest friends Baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Marybeth and I met through work and when she came out to Utah 3 years ago she started asking me questions about the church... she visited Temple Square in SLC and investigated the church for 3 years.... in April she had the opportunity to hear the Gospel through the wonderful missionaries in her area... after the 2nd descussion she committed to baptism. I was soo excited when she called to tell me that she had set the date for the 1st of May. I wanted more than anything to be able to be there for her... but I knew we just couldn't afford it. I received a phone call from MaryBeth telling me that one of her co-workers wanted to give me his sky miles to fly me out there.... I have never been more touched in all my life... There really are nice people in the world aren't there? Justin and I talked about it and decided I would go... he was going to see if he could get off work and we would just make it all work if he could go with me. His work wasn't very cooperative and they wouldn't give him the time off so he stayed home with the kids. I flew out on the redeye... which ment I flew out at 11:45 pm and got to SC by 11:00 am the next day... yes it was a long flight but totally worth it.
When I saw MaryBeth, we both started to cry... I was so excited for my friend and her husband because of the decisions they had made... yes her husband was baptized too... How awesome is that! To see the transformation of these two individuals and the light of Christ truly inside them made me take a deeper look into my life and my testimony of the Gospel. I had the opportunity to bare my testimony while they were getting dressed (they were both mad that they didn't get the chance to hear it).... it was such an amazing experience, I will never forget it! I had such a great time being with them! I look forward to going out in a year to be with them as they are sealed in the Temple as an eternal family! I am very blessed to have such amazing friends in my life who lift me up in so many ways!

Eternity bound
We have had such an amazing couple of months. Things have really turned around in our lives. Yesterday Justin was ordained an Elder in the Melchizedek Priesthood. He had initially asked his Grandpa Smith to ordain him however Grandpa got sick and was unable to make it, Justin called my dad and asked him if he would do the honors. I think my dad got a little teary eyed knowing he would be the one to bestow the Melchizedek Priesthood on Justin. We had so many friends and family show up to show support of this occasion. I couldn't ask for a better ward or family members who are such examples to us. Justin even shaved his mustache and goatee for the day... yes he is clean shaven and I think he looks AMAZING!!! Wow who knew he would look that HOT without facial hair.
On the 18th of June, Justin and I will have been married for 6 years. So this year to celebrate we are taking our family to the Logan Temple to be sealed for Eternity! I have been so blessed in my life to have such an amazing Husband who was willing to learn and to grow in the Gospel. He truly is an amazing person! (I don't just say that cuz he is mine)....But he is truly great. When we started taking the Temple prep classes I never dreamed it would come this soon. I thought we would be somewhere closer to a year later or maybe even 6 months later but it has all worked out and has been such a blessing to me. Life is great and we have so many wonderful people in our lives who make it that much better. We are blessed with great friends and family who support us through it all!

Day Old Child
My day-old child lay in my arms.
With my lips against his ear
I whispered strongly, "How I wish --
I wish that you could hear;
"I've a hundred wonderful things to say
(A tiny cough and a nod),
Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow
So I can tell you about God."
My day-old baby's mouth was still
And my words only tickled his ear.
But a kind of a light passed through his eyes.
And I saw this thought appear:
"How I wish I had a voice and words;
I've a hundred things to say.
Before I forget I'd tell you of God --
I left him yesterday."
With my lips against his ear
I whispered strongly, "How I wish --
I wish that you could hear;
"I've a hundred wonderful things to say
(A tiny cough and a nod),
Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow
So I can tell you about God."
