SOOO SPOILED!!!

So I have come to the conclusion, that I am totally SPOILED! So this is an Authentic Austin Collie (Rookie Wide Receiver for the Colts) jersey. Not only that but it is the Super Bowl Edition! I was so excited to get this, I also got one for my 2 dear friends who are HUGE Collie fans too... Erin who has been a Collie fan since he played at BYU and MiKell who also liked him when he played at BYU. I just couldn't believe it! Now I have a Peyton Manning #18 and an Austin Collie #17 Jersey.... Justin has a Jeff Saturday jersey as well ... he hangs his on the wall I hang mine on my bod....

Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday we woke up and Peyton found the "goodies" that the Easter Bunny had left for her. She found all the eggs and her basket which included Coloring books, and crayons. She also got a new computer game from the money she got from her Grandma Smith... she loves it. She had a great Easter and we even reminded her of the True meaning of Easter and the Resurrection of Christ. We even talked about her sweet friends who recently passed away. She knows more than I think she does that is for sure. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Smith's house for dinner and an Egg hunt there. We got there a little early so Grandma let Peyton and I "draw on her window" with her new window crayons.. They are actually a lot of fun! I am thinking I need to get some for myself. We had a great time with the Smith Family. Justin's two brothers and their families were there too... Glad we were able to spend some time with Great Grandma Sorenson who is currently living with Ray and Audrey. It was an amazing day.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a fabulous Easter Season... beginning with an Easter Egg Hunt last weekend. I got up at 6:00 on Saturday to help my good friend set up an Easter Egg hunt. It was cold but it was a lot of fun. When the sun came out it warmed up and was a beautiful day. We had a great time and got lots of "treats"! Peyton had the time of her life. She was so cute, and had a great time.

1st Class

Tonight Chance received his 1st Class Rank in scouts. I am so proud of him and his accomplishments. Between Karate and scouts he is doing well in both of them. On the 17th of April he will compete in the inter-school karate championship. It will be exciting to watch him compete. Here are a couple of pictures from the Court of Honor tonight.

Receiving his award....

Pinning my pin on me.... how sweet is that ... I love this boy!

Kissing his mama.... I really am so proud of this boy!

Primary Songs

After church yesterday we were on our way home (mind you we live 2 blocks from the church)... when Peyton breaks out into song. She starts singing "Follow the Prophet, Follow the Prophet... don't go astray" then tells me to help her. So I don't sing well but I love love love to sing Primary songs with Peyton. It amazes me how fast she learns the songs and is so enthusiastic about singing them. Which brings me to my next thought... as I was sitting in singing / sharing time in Primary I thought to myself how sad it is the the senior primary doesn't like to sing. I look around the room and there are only a handful of kids even singing... the oldest kids on occasion will sing a song here and there but for the most part it is the younger ones that sing. I love hearing Primary songs as it has always helped me feel the Spirit. It just makes me sad that the older the kids get the less they like to sing... it is as if they think they are too old to sing. I encourage all my kids in my class to participate but yet to no avail... they still would rather play with paper... pencils or anything other than sing. Makes me sad... :( Those that sing each and every week bring a smile to my face... (Thank you Cassidy Toone for all you do). Truly I do feel the My Saviors Love with each and every song. I only wish we could just once have everyone in the Primary sing as enthusiastic as Cassidy does....

Peyton continued her singing through out the night... it has been such a joy having her in Primary. She loves her teachers and now looks foward to going to Primary each and every week.... as for me, I love to go to Singing time and feel the Spirit there....

Painting the house

Here are some pictures of the new paint in the house. This is the picture of my new mirror on the wall in the dining room.

This is the wall by the front door....

This is the wall between the front room (sitting room) and the dining room. Yes it is black.

We are not quite finished... we are still working on painting all the picture frames from brown to black. It has been a work in progress but it has been fun.
